Title: Kids' Play-
Hey.
It was yet again another day of selling items.
The environment of st. mary's was a relative mix of grand, elegance and serenity when my foot stepped into this place at dawn.
The priest was especially friendly. And maybe because he was very tall and saw jojo selling around often while I was kinda close with him then, he gave confidence pats on me many times. Anyway, some of his lines were quite humourous which lighten some load.
For some reason, this acting mindset of mine crept in. In fact, I put on different roles today.
After the first session, I knew I could be like everyone else and make flowers; I still have the energy, yet I ended up idling around at the canteen table.
There were also times when I was in this lost state where the only way I could contribute was to cling onto anyone and sell in pairs or threes. Besides, I hated myself when the idea of showing-off came in as I broke away from my group when we were supposed to sell things together. Really, I didn't like the way my pals' trust on me were being dumped into trashbag. And I feel extremely sorry for that. Some time later, my tempo slowed down. So I went out there to sell things with someone who was much more enthusiastic than I was. Thankfully Grace was high then. With her speaking for Tim and I, I felt irritated by myself for not putting in effort to the maximum, especially when Violet was very tired yet she still hanged on to make nice flowers.
That's when I somehow got influenced to break free from my slacking way of socialising to do some real convincing for people to buy our passion-filled items.
The way I positioned was facing to the majority of the crowd; I moved towards people in unnatural child-like hopping; I waved childishly to kids and so many more.
Anyway, the kids there were very funny; Some had their eyes glowing when we gave them lollipops, some just couldn't fake their smiles when they appeared, others were in a dilemma.
Alright, second last thing... I was shocked, prolly of my indifference, when a man gave us the blue man without expecting anything. The few of us in that group were too, but thank God that the little girl beside him had smiles when we offered her flowers and lollipops, or I'd feel bad for my entire day's performance.
And!! The highlight of the day was the fight to sell the last nine cupcakes. It was particularly tough when it came down to the last two. We all know that food was a 'must' to sell, so here's how it went... By then almost everyone left and so fortunately there was a mother coming out of the hall. She accepted it quick, which was good. But the last one was like the search for the buyer from everyone of us. I saw a lady who didn't seem to want anything particularly from us, so ironically we formed a wall in front of her as I convinced her to buy with all those cheesy lines that have been heard too often. She asked for the price and my mind started to be juggling between the numbers 6 and 8...
"Six!"
I could sense the stare I was receiving by jojo and the rest by then. I felt sorry for giving such a low price but I hope anyone in my position would understand that I was a little nervy in such pressurised situation when facing someone who didn't seem to want any cupcake at all.
I have no idea if it were coincidence but I truly need to thank everyone who made these chances for me to learn possible.
Smile everyone!!
yup, so that's what happened (:

HEY EVERYONE!
Someone somehow at somewhere decided to find out on something somewhat sounded like the 'random quote of the day' at sometime of the day.
Never believe anything until it has been officially denied.
~Claud Cockburn (1904 - 1981)
So yes! You should be feeling optimistic about whatever that comes in life and NEVER BE AFFECTED BY THOSE WHO DEMORALISE YOU! STUDY HARD K! (:
