Hey.
For the past week I've learnt loads. mr jenkins had opened up many perspectives as to how we can possibly see things.
Example, with this pointless as it seems script-
A: hello
B: hello
A: how's everything?
B: fine i guess.
A: do you know what time it is?
B: no, not exactly.
A: don't you have a watch?
B: no, not on me.
A: well.
B: well what?
A: what did you do last night?
B: what do you mean?
A: what did you do last night?
B: nothing.
A: nothing?
B: i said, nothing.
A: i'm sorry i asked.
B: it's alright.
yes i merely thought it could only be used in the kitchen where a parent was trying to interrogate a child, which was plausible when bev n matt did that eventually. but i was more interested in the idea roger gave, which was the change in setting. he made gabrielle n cailing act out in a gossipy scene, smth that never crossed my mind.
as common as the bev-matt scene put forward, it was smth i couldn't forget till now since whatever matthew felt as that character came again on the next day when i was approached with a question during lunch by su. in fact it was rather hilarious if i was being noticed anyone would have thought i was influenced by matt's acting skills - so exaggerating!
anw, practising scenes with alexandria just blew my confidence on stage. i mean, it's good in the sense that there was much laughter, but i have nooo idea why, facing her meant that i'd be laughing out even before the scene started. haha :D but prolly it was smth mr jenkins might not like. who knows! (:
oh, acting spastic and nerdy of mine with cailing this unglam assumed-to-be hot jogger character was extremely fun, cos her bucked mask was whoa! i have no idea if she's laughing inside, but her masks made her do so on the outside! hahaha :D
besides, mr jenkins taught us how a scriptwriter portrays a person who lets out all his secrets he never wanted to say in his entire life through drinking. and it's all these little things that most audience miss out often, which is why i tend to watch replays of movies if possible to learn about those minute details. he also told us that drama is about remembering the special moments and studying the two sides of a human nature. it's like, you might see a person who's of a low status (physically weak) often, but at different times when needed they can turn out being high status (demanding verbally). that's what i like personally since exploring more characters requires a great deal of adventurous mentality.
anw, our facil group shiok is amazing! we're cool in the sense that we don't speak so loud normally as if the whole world needs to hear us. and when needed we, i mean, the rest gave tons of fantabulous ideas that i never thought of! that's like whoa! haha :D
ohoh!! my mass dance partner! she's victoria. it's not as if i've only known her for the first time or smth, in fact i saw her quite some time ago, for whatever reason. ANYWAY, the mix and match in pairings made me leave my actual ig partner look for the menveer, but i felt EXTREMELY bad!! hope my "sorrys" helped a little! or maybe it's su's honour too! FINE it doesn't help being too optimistic haha :D
and!! i heard this on hairspray "plastic looks spastic".
enough said, toodles! whee! (:
