Q:
We are going to Bribie Island for a holiday. My husband reacts to sandfly bites. How are these treated?
A:
Avoid exposure as much as possible. Apply crushed ice or cold water packs for 10 minutes and repeat often. Some find application of vinegar or Stingose helpful. The non sedating ant-histamines may give relief. Calamine, Eurax, weak cortisone cream, Pranatal powder to the skin may help.
