Title: Lines of Wisdom-
Hey! Here's what I read these days from magazines even though meena and jess had brought me to National Library Board, listen well; NLB! to read fiction. the worse thing was that i didn't seem comfy there at all. anyway, in the end i managed to read one section of meena's book. it was quite nice to picture what it meant actually. SO, those are the lines i took out, quite interesting actually.
"The closer we are to something - an event, a person, an object - the more nuances (subtle differences) we see. By contrast, the farther away we are, the greater (and less accurate) the generalisations we make. And so when the comparisons to the Great Depression are flashed on cable-news crawls, it's all about the desire to fit everything into a snapshot" -Dan Ariely, a behavioural economist at Duke University and author of "Predictably Irrational Don't we feel this way most of the time?
Barack Obama, with his initials, can be misread as Body Odour
10 Downing Street in Britain is the equivalent to The White House in USA
Adam Smith was a Scottish but John Maynard Keynes was an Englishman, and one of the differences between these identities are that English planted flags, but Scots ran the banks and funded building of railways So who's greater? (:
The new First Lady (Michelle Obama) will have... to knock down ugly stereotypes about black women; she will be a daily reminder that we're not all hotheaded (act forcefully), foaming-at-the-mouth (angry) drug addicts, always ready with a quick one-liner and a roll of the eyes. The last part tells a lot about what how terrorising men thought these people were...
Can we start recognising that just because something does not change doesn't mean that it cannot change?... You measure the blood pressure, heart rate, weight and other aspects of cardiovascular health of thousands of coach potatoes year after year. The numbers hardly change, so you conclude that they're unchangeable. But you neglected to test whether a little thing called aerobic exercise might change them. So it's with personality. Just because it seems stable over the years doesn't mean it's immutable This is the kind of confusion that I have at times, and I thought that this was quite easy to get it haha.
Oh! Lately, I've been listening to Jesse McCartney's Departure songs in depth. I kinda feel how a songwriter thinks at times, and the thoughts too, but definitely not the way with the previous album, or two years and a week ago. Looking back at how dumb and daring I was when I browsed through my ex-simcard, I definitely would have felt embarrassed if I were to do that now. haha how different things are.
yup, so that's what happened (:

HEY EVERYONE!
Someone somehow at somewhere decided to find out on something somewhat sounded like the 'random quote of the day' at sometime of the day.
Never believe anything until it has been officially denied.
~Claud Cockburn (1904 - 1981)
So yes! You should be feeling optimistic about whatever that comes in life and NEVER BE AFFECTED BY THOSE WHO DEMORALISE YOU! STUDY HARD K! (:
