hi. i watched city of ember yesterday and bolt today.
city of ember was quite nice if you take note of the little details built in this underground city, called ember. as in, any piece of information or furniture was used aptly and they fit into the whole plot completely. however, if you are the type that prefer to see how the storyline flows, this is definitely not the one you'd like. perhaps more if the salesperson told you "oh, it's about two kids trying to save the city". it was that simple; just two seconds and maybe even lesser! anyway, back to that story, the climax leaned more to the adventurous part rather than good versus evil. the worst part here was this, the villain was killed by some creature out of nowhere and that creature was brought into the scene abruptly with a poor introduction. lastly the ending was summed up with narration. it was quite heart-warming when those characters were looking back at how much they had gone through. anyway, despite the story being like that, i thought that the lead actress was quite pretty. she's not the kind that you'll see in princesses or smth, but all her things on her face seemed to fit pretty well. oh then the little girl was super cute too!! (:
bolt was another typical disney movie. those with themes of misunderstanding, self-belief and heroes saving the day. generally it was nice with anti-climax scenes, but definitely bad with too many, especially when the notion revolves around acting and pretences. in fact, too many came in here. and that anti-climax became an expected norm ironically. it was good generally with a distinct contrast between the human world and animal world at times, but the ridiculous mission trip was way too crazy. still, the adventure would be smth i'd love to experience, even though the sense of loneliness and emptiness would be smth i won't want. yeap. but the combination of john travolta and miley cyrus was rather odd, even though the voices matched a little. (:
anw. i learnt alot these days, on birthdays of boonping and jocelyn (:
yup, so that's what happened (:

HEY EVERYONE!
Someone somehow at somewhere decided to find out on something somewhat sounded like the 'random quote of the day' at sometime of the day.
Never believe anything until it has been officially denied.
~Claud Cockburn (1904 - 1981)
So yes! You should be feeling optimistic about whatever that comes in life and NEVER BE AFFECTED BY THOSE WHO DEMORALISE YOU! STUDY HARD K! (:
